Role overview
This contractor position is for a chemistry specialist who will help improve and train AI systems using subject-matter expertise. The focus is on supplying accurate, real-world scientific input that supports better model reasoning and performance. Prior AI experience is not necessary; strong chemistry knowledge is the key requirement.
What you will do
- Examine and make sense of complex chemistry documents, datasets, and research publications.
- Create, assess, and improve questions and answers that test and deepen AI understanding.
- Use analytical methods to identify important points from source materials.
- Work with teams across functions to maintain scientific accuracy and clear communication.
- Contribute to documentation tasks and help improve workflows over time.
- Share feedback based on domain knowledge about model outputs and system behavior.
- Protect the correctness, relevance, and consistency of all chemistry-related information used in the process.
Required background
- A bachelor’s degree or a higher qualification in Chemistry or a closely related subject.
- At least 2 years of professional exposure in academia, a laboratory, or an industry environment.
- Ability to read, understand, and evaluate technical documents and research studies.
- Strong English communication skills, both in writing and speaking.
- Experience with data retrieval, calculations, and analytical thinking.
- Comfort working independently with limited oversight while maintaining high standards.
- Careful attention to detail and a strong commitment to scientific precision.
