Role Summary
This role is for a motivated, proactive individual to support the staff cafeteria at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. The position provides daily interaction with coworkers and leaders, helping you develop transferable skills and opening pathways to future opportunities in culinary operations or guest services within food and beverage.
Compensation
The pay for this position is $20.05 per hour.
Key Duties
- Keep dishes, flatware, and trays cleanly restocked for service.
- Top up salad bar condiments and food items as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness by sweeping and mopping floors.
- Receive supplies, unpack them, and place items in the correct storage locations.
- Scrape, stack, and transport dishes to the dishwashing area.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant is self-driven, shows initiative, can make practical decisions, and is comfortable handling multiple tasks with little direct supervision. The position also requires the ability to stay composed and deliver strong service in a busy environment. Physical capability is important, including repeated lifting of trays, standing and walking throughout the shift, and frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying.
