Role overview
This position is for a driven BI Analyst who can gather, examine, and interpret business information to support both day-to-day operations and long-term planning. The role centers on creating dashboards, preparing reports, spotting patterns, and delivering insights that guide growth decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Create, update, and improve interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or comparable BI tools.
- Work through large volumes of data to uncover trends, patterns, and possible business opportunities.
- Build, refine, and maintain SQL queries for analytics and reporting needs.
- Partner with teams across the business to understand reporting needs and deliver useful data solutions.
- Develop KPI frameworks, scorecards, and leadership-ready reports.
- Check data for accuracy through validation, cleanup, and quality control steps.
- Set up automated recurring reports to save time and reduce manual work.
- Contribute insights to forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities.
- Share findings and recommendations with stakeholders in a clear, business-focused way.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline is expected. The role also requires at least 3 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a similar field.
Required skills
- Strong command of SQL and data analysis techniques.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Qlik Sense.
- Advanced ability with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and communication skills.
Preferred skills
- Exposure to Python or R for analysis work.
- Understanding of ETL workflows and data modeling concepts.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, Azure Synapse, or Google BigQuery.
- Experience using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- BI or data analytics certifications are considered an advantage.
