Role Overview

The company is hiring a driven and energetic Business Development Representative to support the generation of qualified sales opportunities for the Emerging Markets sales organization. This position works closely with regional sales and marketing teams to create sales-accepted leads through a blend of inbound follow-up and outbound prospecting.

The role also involves researching assigned accounts in depth, identifying key influencers and decision-makers, and using that insight to connect the sales team with the right contacts across target verticals. In addition, the representative will collaborate with Account Management and Marketing to plan and execute an effective account-based sales approach for the Middle East and Africa.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Screen and grow both inbound and outbound leads, and handle product-related enquiries.
  • Collect useful market intelligence on assigned accounts, including competitor activity, projects, and buying signals.
  • Follow up on marketing-generated leads and convert early interest into qualified, sales-accepted opportunities.
  • Run email campaigns to create new prospect conversations.
  • Carry out cold-calling campaigns to build the sales pipeline.
  • Keep communication records up to date and accurate in Salesforce.com.
  • Arrange product demonstrations between prospects and Enterprise Sales team members.

Requirements

  • Background in building new relationships through cold calling and email prospecting.
  • Prior success in a target- or goal-oriented environment is preferred.
  • Strong motivation, a competitive mindset, and solid attention to detail.
  • Exposure to solutions deployable in private or public cloud environments is an advantage.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or another CRM platform is a plus.
