Role overview
The firm is looking for a driven and committed Business Development Executive to support growth across Singapore and ASEAN. In this position, you will work closely with lawyers to strengthen business development, build client relationships, and improve service delivery across the region.
Key responsibilities
- Support the firm’s corporate growth agenda through business development work and client intelligence initiatives.
- Help roll out firmwide programmes, corporate campaigns, and related activities.
- Work directly with corporate clients and internal teams to maintain strong service standards and relationships.
- Prepare corporate pitches and capability statements in English in line with internal brand and formatting guidelines.
- Coordinate with local office teams to keep pitch materials and capability documents current, organised, and easy to access.
- Assist with deal capture processes and help ensure relevant information is entered into the firm’s matters and deals database.
- Maintain CVs for fee earners in the corporate practice group and support CRM upkeep, including client distribution lists in InterAction.
- Partner with practice leaders to build annual business plans for Malaysia and the wider region.
- Support strategic marketing programmes across Asia, including client programme activities.
- Advise and assist partners with relationship management, business development, pitches, and client feedback work.
- Take on additional duties assigned by the Managing Partner or the partner in charge.
- Contribute to regional marketing efforts in collaboration with the wider A&G Asia team when opportunities arise.
Requirements
- A proactive attitude and strong business development capability.
- Comfort and confidence when dealing with clients, partners, and business support teams.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken, including the ability to draft proposals.
- Knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia or Mandarin is advantageous when meeting Indonesian or Chinese clients.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- Self-starter mindset with a positive, energetic approach and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Good strategic thinking, creativity, and problem-solving ability.
- Understanding of professional marketing practices and business development challenges.
- Strong presentation, communication, and consultative selling skills.
- Leadership ability when guiding or developing team members.
- 2 to 4 years of work experience preferred, with professional services experience considered an advantage.
- Fresh graduates with strong energy and potential will also be considered.
