Descrizione del lavoro

Opportunity

RBC is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join the Funding, Treasury and Liquidity (FTL) Apex Application Development team. The role will primarily support the Central Funding Group, which handles secured funding activities such as repo and securities lending.

This position focuses on business analysis and on shaping testing outcomes within an agile technology environment. You will work closely with stakeholders across front office trading, collateral management, operational support, and technology teams within Quant & Tech Services (QTS). The main system used for the global repo and securities lending business is Apex, an external vendor platform.

The role offers exposure to senior leaders across the business, support functions, and technology groups, along with the chance to contribute in a fast-moving, collaborative financial services setting.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with global stakeholders to define, refine, and document business requirements for both tactical and strategic initiatives.
  • Work alongside development and quality assurance teams throughout the software build and release process.
  • Maintain clear communication with team members and stakeholders from initial requirements gathering through to deployment.
  • Identify issues, dependencies, and risks early, then assess, resolve, or escalate them as needed.
  • Support production queries and application/user-process issues as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Build strong relationships across business groups and platforms to increase influence and deliver meaningful outcomes.
  • Help align group deliverables with RBC procedures, processes, and wider business objectives.
  • Carry out related administrative and program support activities as required.

What You Need to Succeed

Must-have experience and capabilities:

  • Background as a business analyst with strong knowledge of capital markets front-to-back trade processing, including fixed income, equities, and equity derivatives.
  • Ability to use technical tools to query databases, interpret message structures, and investigate data-flow issues in a production environment.
  • Willingness and ability to learn newer tools, including AI-based tools, for creating documents, requirements, and test scenarios.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and lineage.
  • Proven ability to write detailed requirements and corresponding test cases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-directed, deadline-focused, and able to manage several tasks and timelines while maintaining high quality.

Preferred experience:

  • Exposure to repo or securities lending workflows, or collateral management.
  • Good understanding of market data and reference data, including securities and pricing.
  • Ability to create business process flows, supported by recent project experience.
  • Degree-level education in computer science, business, or a science-related discipline.
  • CFA, Canadian Securities Course, or CBAP certification.

What’s in It for You

  • Access to a competitive rewards package with bonus opportunities, flexible benefits, and strong compensation.
  • Support from leaders who invest in your growth through coaching and development opportunities.
  • The chance to contribute meaningfully and create a lasting impact.
  • A dynamic, collaborative, progressive, high-performing team environment.
  • World-class training within financial services.
  • Flexible work-life balance options.
  • Opportunities to take on challenging and rewarding work.
