What you will do

  • Handle routine bookkeeping work carefully and on schedule, maintaining a consistently high standard of output.
  • Prepare bookkeeping records up to trial balance, including opening and closing balances for adjusted trial balances and support with year-end completion.
  • Post year-end adjustments such as accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and other required journal entries.
  • Keep a full audit trail by organising, filing, and cross-referencing supporting documents without delay.
  • Complete VAT returns accurately and ensure submissions meet statutory deadlines.
  • Carry out bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis.
  • Create management reports that help clients understand their financial performance and current position.
  • Develop strong client relationships and provide prompt, professional support.
  • Work with accounting systems such as Xero and Microsoft Excel to improve efficiency and maintain accurate reporting.
  • Follow relevant accounting standards and internal processes at all times.
  • Plan and manage your workload effectively so deadlines and agreed time budgets are met.

Requirements
