About the role
We are hiring an Automated QA Engineer - AI Trainer to support the development of advanced AI systems. In this role, you will join DataAnnotation’s coding community, which includes more than 100,000 professionals across front-end, back-end, full-stack, machine learning, and related engineering backgrounds.
The work combines flexibility with technically challenging tasks. You will collaborate with modern AI models on programming assignments such as solving difficult coding problems, building polished applications with rich features, and turning data into meaningful analysis and visualizations. Your contributions will help improve intelligent systems that continue to learn and adapt over time. Some people use this as a side role alongside a full-time job, while others make it their main focus and select projects around their own availability.
How the process works
After creating an account, you will complete a short assessment that functions as the screening step. If successful, you will receive confirmation by email, and paid work will then become available through the platform.

Qualifications
- Strong command of English at a native or bilingual level.
- Preferred background in Kotlin.
- Working knowledge of at least one of these languages or frameworks: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, or Swift.
- Good writing ability and solid grammar skills.
- Bachelor’s degree, either completed or currently being pursued.
- Prior experience as a software developer, coder, software engineer, or programmer is an advantage.

This is an independent contractor opportunity. Compensation is hourly, beginning at $50 to $100+ per hour, with some projects offering higher pay. Payment is processed through PayPal, and currency conversion from USD is handled by PayPal. You will never be asked to pay any money.
Eligibility
This opportunity is open only to candidates located in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. Applicants outside these locations will not see available work or assessments on the platform.
