Job Summary

This role supports Mowasalat’s mission to deliver transport services that are agile, safe, and sustainable by keeping enterprise applications stable, available, and performing well. The Applications Specialist – Systems Operations will handle daily application support, troubleshoot incidents, track system health, and work closely with business teams, internal IT staff, and outside vendors. The position also supports ongoing improvement work, system integrations, and efficient service delivery while helping ensure operational compliance, reliable systems, and the protection of confidential data.

Key Responsibilities

The position covers application support, development assistance, business analysis, integration, configuration, user enablement, and ongoing operational oversight.

Deliver technical support for enterprise applications and help maintain reliability, scalability, and performance.
Keep application records current, including user guides and technical documentation.
Support the design, development, testing, and rollout of software solutions that align with business needs.
Work with stakeholders to collect requirements and prepare test cases that confirm solution quality.
Engage business users and other stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document system and business requirements.
Prepare business cases, proposals, and technical documents for enhancements and implementations.
Connect applications with existing systems to support smooth data movement and compatibility.
Set up applications to match business needs and improve performance and user experience.
Create and deliver training sessions that help users adopt and use systems effectively.
Maintain supporting materials such as user manuals, guides, and FAQs.
Monitor application performance, assist with incident resolution, and contribute to process improvements.
Follow operational procedures, standards, and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications & Requirements

The role requires a relevant bachelor’s degree and several years of experience in enterprise application support or systems operations.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
4 to 6 years of experience supporting enterprise applications or working in systems operations.
Preferred certifications include CASE or an equivalent software engineering certification.
Programming credentials such as Java or Python certifications are preferred.
Agile-related certification, such as Scrum Master, is an advantage.

This is a contract position based onsite in Doha, Qatar. The job focuses on maintaining dependable enterprise systems and supporting business users through effective operations, documentation, training, and cross-functional coordination.
