Position Overview
This opening is for an ML Engineer with strong experience working with coding agents. The work is remote and contract-based, and the advertised compensation is $85 per hour.
What You Will Do
- Use advanced AI coding assistants to solve and assess challenging machine learning and AI engineering assignments.
- Inspect AI-generated code for areas such as model training, inference infrastructure, MLOps workflows, and LLM-based products.
- Spot defects, unusual cases, performance bottlenecks, and other ways AI models may fail.
- Evaluate results produced by multiple frontier models and compare their relative strengths and limitations.
- Apply sound engineering judgment to practical machine learning situations.
Required Background
- At least 2 years of hands-on professional experience in machine learning engineering.
- Experience building production ML systems, deployment infrastructure, large language model applications, or AI-driven products.
- Frequent use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, or similar assistants.
- Capability to review model-generated ML solutions and weigh technical tradeoffs.
Preferred Experience
- Experience shipping ML systems into production environments.
Compensation and Work Terms
Pay is listed as $85 per hour. In addition, compensation is tied to approved work, with $400 paid for each accepted task.
