The Opportunity
Buildsafe is a major Australian provider of height safety and access solutions, working with many of Adelaide’s best-known residential builders. The business is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join its Adelaide team and support residential builders and construction customers across the region.
The role centres on looking after existing accounts, strengthening client relationships, and finding ways to expand Buildsafe’s footprint across residential projects. Time will be split between the office and construction sites, with responsibilities including preparing quotes, following up on opportunities, and maintaining CRM records, as well as meeting builders on site to better understand project needs and build strong working relationships.
You will collaborate closely with operations and other internal teams to deliver a smooth experience from first enquiry through to project completion. The position is best suited to someone who likes structure, takes accountability seriously, and enjoys building long-term business relationships.
About You
The ideal person is commercially aware, highly organised, and comfortable moving between office administration and regular site visits. You are someone who takes full ownership of your portfolio, communicates in a clear and professional way, and sees tasks through to completion.
You should be confident working with builders and site personnel, and understand why accurate quoting, disciplined CRM use, and smooth handover to operations are essential.
Experience and Skills Needed
- Background in construction, building services, scaffolding, access, or equipment hire industries
- Strong ability to communicate and develop relationships
- Practical, solution-oriented approach to work
- Comfortable engaging with clients both in an office setting and on-site
- Prior use of CRM systems to manage sales and account activity
- High levels of organisation and attention to detail
- Current driver’s licence, which is essential for the role
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of residential builder accounts throughout South Australia
- Combine office-based sales administration with regular site visits and client meetings
- Support senior account managers with account handling and growth initiatives
- Arrange quotations, bookings, and project follow-ups
- Keep CRM records accurate, current, and complete
- Partner with operations to help projects run smoothly
- Spot opportunities to increase business within current accounts and win new clients
- Build retention through reliable service and consistent follow-through
What’s on Offer
- Permanent full-time position with weekly pay
- Competitive salary package
- Work tools supplied, including phone, laptop, and vehicle access where needed
- Option to move into a novated lease vehicle arrangement after successful probation
- Practical training and mentoring from experienced industry professionals
- Clear progression path into senior account management
- Temporary office location in Lewiston
- Supportive team culture built around accountability and long-term results
- Access to an Employee Assistance Program
