Role Overview
The Accident Incharge position is a full-time, on-site role in Nashik. The core responsibility is to manage vehicle accident and incident cases from start to finish, including immediate response, coordination with drivers, support teams, and authorities, and driving the case toward timely closure. The role includes preparing incident documentation, collecting statements and supporting evidence, creating reports, and keeping precise records for internal tracking, insurance requirements, and regulatory compliance.
In addition, the role involves working with insurance providers, workshops, and service centers to handle claims, secure repair approvals, and ensure vehicles return to service quickly. The Accident Incharge also reviews incident patterns, suggests preventive actions, supports safety briefings when needed, and helps implement company safety rules and standard operating procedures. Day-to-day work requires active coordination with operations, fleet management, and compliance teams to reduce vehicle downtime and ensure legal as well as organizational requirements are followed.
Responsibilities
- Handle the full lifecycle of vehicle accident and incident cases, including immediate response and follow-up.
- Coordinate with drivers, internal teams, external authorities, and support staff during incident situations.
- Prepare incident notes, statements, reports, and supporting records for internal, insurance, and compliance purposes.
- Work with insurance companies, workshops, and service centers for claims, approvals, and repair progress.
- Track incident trends and identify recurring issues or risk patterns.
- Recommend and support preventive safety measures to reduce future incidents.
- Assist in safety briefings and help reinforce company safety policies and SOPs.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation for legal and organizational needs.
- Coordinate closely with operations, fleet, and compliance teams to minimize vehicle downtime.
Requirements
- Prior experience in accident or incident handling, fleet operations, or transport coordination, ideally in mobility or logistics.
- Good report writing, documentation, and basic data analysis skills.
- Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with drivers, internal departments, vendors, workshops, and insurance personnel.
- Working knowledge of road safety rules, traffic regulations, and basic insurance claim procedures.
- Strong communication and people-handling skills, especially under pressure.
- Calm, professional approach when dealing with stressful or urgent situations.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a preventive mindset.
- Comfortable using computers, email, spreadsheets, and incident tracking tools or logs.
