Role overview

As an Academic Researcher, you will use specialist subject knowledge to support the training of advanced AI systems. The role focuses on producing reliable, real-world inputs that help improve how models learn, reason, and perform.

Core responsibilities

• Carry out detailed research and analysis within your field, turning findings into well-supported, evidence-led insights.
• Draft, structure, and check complex Word and PDF materials, including using features like tracked edits, form completion, and data extraction.
• Work closely with teams across legal, healthcare, policy, and finance functions to contribute to varied project requirements.
• Convert dense research outcomes into concise reports and presentation-ready materials aligned with Fortune 500-level expectations.
• Review and combine academic papers, legal records, or industry information to guide project decisions.
• Keep all outputs accurate, consistent, and compliant with the assigned standards and instructions.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and speaking with stakeholders and internal team members.

Required background

The position calls for at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in academic research, law, policy, healthcare, or a related area. A Master’s degree, PhD, or JD from a recognized institution is required. You should be comfortable working with Word and PDF files at an advanced level, including tracked changes, formatting, review, and data extraction. Strong communication skills, careful attention to detail, the ability to juggle multiple priorities, and experience working in a remote, deadline-focused setup are important.

Preferred experience

Extra value will be given to candidates who have worked with or for Fortune 500 organizations, have handled legal, healthcare, policy, or financial operations documents, or have an active record of publications or presentations in academic or industry settings.
