About the internship

This internship is for an Electronics & Systems Engineering Intern to support UAV avionics, onboard electronics, communication subsystems, and flight controller integration. The role offers practical exposure to building end-to-end drone electronics architectures.

What you will work on

  • Choosing UAV electronic hardware such as flight controllers, onboard computers, ESCs, motors, GPS units, telemetry modules, RC systems, and sensors
  • Setting up and integrating ArduPilot-based systems
  • Working with communication standards and interfaces including UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and MAVLink
  • Integrating RF communication and telemetry solutions
  • Testing avionics modules and troubleshooting issues
  • Supporting power distribution planning and wiring layout
  • Assisting with hardware assembly and flight trials
  • Keeping electronics records and system diagrams up to date

Additional requirements

  • Working knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, and CAN
  • Exposure to ArduPilot
  • Prior experience building drones
  • Hands-on experience with Pixhawk or CubePilot platforms
