Tendering / Bid / Proposal Manager

About the Role

SPRUCE ENGINEERING PVT LTD is seeking a proactive Tendering / Bid / Proposal Manager who can help expand business by managing government and PSU tender opportunities. This role suits someone with a mechanical engineering background and hands-on tendering exposure.

What You’ll Do

• Spot and pursue new business prospects with public sector undertakings and other relevant clients.
• Track tender notices and manage opportunities across GeM and other e-procurement platforms.
• Handle the full bid cycle, from qualifying opportunities to preparing technical and commercial proposals, submitting them, and following up afterward.
• Work closely with internal teams to shape competitive and winning submissions.
• Take part in pre-bid discussions, negotiations, and contract-related conversations.
• Help plan growth initiatives and contribute to revenue expansion targets.
• Keep an updated opportunity pipeline and share regular business forecasts.

Required Background

A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or a similar technical field, is required. The role calls for strong familiarity with government tendering and procurement procedures, along with clear communication, relationship-building, and negotiation abilities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates who have served in the Indian Navy, especially former Master Chief Petty Officers from Logistics, Technical, Mechanical, Marine, Electrical, or Engineering streams, are preferred if they have at least 3 years of private-sector experience after retirement.
