Role Overview

This full-time evening position is based at WK South in Shreveport, Louisiana, within the Environmental Services / Housekeeping area. It is a non-medical role scheduled from 13:30 to 22:00.

What You Will Do

You will be responsible for keeping assigned patient care and support areas clean, stocked, and ready for use. This includes patient rooms, wards, nursing stations, lounges, laboratories, bathrooms, offices, and any other spaces allocated to the team. Work must follow the Housekeeping Department’s standard procedures and support the facility’s overall objectives.

The role also involves using a range of cleaning equipment and supplies, such as 16 oz. wet mops, small wringers, dusters, household vacuum cleaners, and other tools, products, and materials needed to complete the job safely and effectively.

Requirements

Applicants must be able to complete the pre-employment process successfully. After short training, the person in this role should be able to show correct handling and use of assigned chemicals, supplies, and tools. A clear understanding of the possible risks associated with chemical use, both for the employee and for others, is also required under the department’s written Hazard Communication Program.
