Position Overview
The Talent Acquisition Assistant supports hiring and employee growth efforts across the organization. In this role, you will help coordinate recruitment, onboarding, training, and learning activities so the company can attract, select, and develop capable employees.
Role Details
Job title: Talent Acquisition Assistant
FLSA status: Non-Exempt
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: Manager, Human Resources
What You Will Do
- Publish openings on job boards, the company careers page, and social media channels.
- Review resumes and applications to identify suitable applicants.
- Arrange interviews and coordinate updates between candidates and the Talent Acquisition Specialist.
- Handle candidate communication, including interview confirmations, follow-ups, and progress updates.
- Keep applicant information accurate and up to date in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Assist with onboarding for new hires, interns, and temporary workers.
- Coordinate employee training and track completion status.
- Help with recruitment events, career fairs, and employer branding activities.
- Provide backup support for front desk responsibilities when needed.
- Carry out other assigned duties and special projects as required.
- Follow employment laws, internal policies, and hiring procedures.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Comply with the organization’s Compliance Plan and HIPAA requirements.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in recruiting or in an HR coordinator/assistant position.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Working knowledge of state and federal labor laws.
- Comfort handling confidential matters with tact, care, and discretion.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with strong Excel proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English clearly.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions in English.
- Capacity to maintain confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Professional interpersonal skills for working with customers, members, and colleagues individually and in teams.
- Ability to manage several tasks at once and adjust to changing priorities.
- Good judgment, problem-solving ability, and timely decision-making.
- Strong prioritization skills and a self-starter mindset.
- Understanding of and willingness to comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
Certification Preference
PHR certification is preferred.
