When challenges arise, the team helps address them quickly and clearly. Working across the business, the group brings different stakeholders together to ensure Uber’s narrative stays strong and aligned.
About the role
Uber is looking for an experienced communications professional to own executive and employee communications for APAC. In this role, you will partner with leaders to shape key messages, improve employee engagement, and keep teams informed. You will also work closely with cross-functional partners to design and deliver internal communication strategies and campaigns. The role calls for someone who can think strategically while also handling execution with confidence.
Key responsibilities
- Lead internal communication planning and execution from concept through delivery, including strategy, stakeholder alignment, implementation, and results tracking.
- Advise regional leaders on the most effective way to communicate strategic updates to employees.
- Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and subject-matter experts to create and roll out internal communication initiatives.
- Support internal communications during crisis situations, organizational change, and mergers and acquisitions across the region.
- Create, edit, and polish leadership messages, FAQs, talking points, and related communication materials.
- Simplify complex subjects into clear, engaging stories that inform and motivate employees.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of communications experience, including a strong background in internal communications and work across the APAC region.
- Ability to work independently, build from the ground up, and stay effective in a fast-moving, constantly changing environment.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to translate complicated ideas into clear, compelling employee-facing content.
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills for working with multiple teams and senior stakeholders.
- Creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh ideas and innovative approaches for internal communications.
Additional information
