Shift Leader

About the Role

As a Shift Leader, you will play a key frontline leadership role in a busy, growth-focused restaurant setting. You will help bring the company mission to life by working alongside management to deliver food made with care, service delivered warmly, and a dining atmosphere maintained with pride.

Education and Experience

Applicants should have some high school education and ideally some prior operations experience.

Food Safety Requirement

Local or municipal food safety requirements, such as a Food Handler certificate, must be obtained at the applicant’s own cost.

Working Conditions

This role involves a fast-moving restaurant environment with hot counter areas, steam, and food vapors. Work areas can be tight, shelving may be high, and storage space is limited. Team members are expected to stand for extended periods, prepare both hot and cold foods, use a Chinese cook knife and other kitchen tools, and maintain speed without sacrificing accuracy. The position may require lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for up to four hours, and reaching across 36-inch counter tops to assist guests.

The work environment is typically noisy and hot, and the job calls for strong verbal communication, adaptability in shifting priorities, and the ability to handle conflict and difficult situations effectively.
