Senior Project Manager

Role Overview

This position reports to the Director, Project Director, Country Manager, or Executive Director. The Senior Project Manager will take ownership of project execution and help ensure delivery meets the organization’s standards for quality, schedule, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and put into action the Project Execution Plan while carrying out the Senior Project Manager responsibilities outlined in Mirage’s internal flow charts.
• Deliver a consistently high level of service aligned with the expectations of Mirage and recognized as strong practice within project management.
• Spot opportunities to improve project delivery and translate them into practical action plans.
• Lead the project to achieve agreed targets for quality, programme, and cost.
• Build strong relationships that create confidence and trust with clients, operators, and other key stakeholders.
• Coordinate, guide, and motivate multi-disciplinary teams and colleagues.
• Oversee administration of construction contracts.
• Work with the Planning Manager to provide regular progress updates.
• Review and adjudicate contractor claims with support from the Planning Manager.
• Run meetings, prepare minutes, and follow through to ensure decisions are executed.
• Oversee procurement activities.
• Lead value engineering workshops.
• Facilitate risk analysis workshops.
• Manage project commissioning and close-out activities.
• Prepare monthly and ad hoc reports, including recommendations where needed.
• Identify potential issues early and develop mitigation measures before they escalate.
• Handle any other project management tasks assigned by the Director, Project Director, Country Manager, or Executive Director.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should hold a university-level qualification in Project Management, Building Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline, along with at least 10 years of relevant project management experience. Strong exposure to hotel projects through to delivery is required. The role also expects a career path that shows steadily increasing responsibility and experience on projects of a suitable scale. UAE experience is preferred, and membership in a relevant professional body will be viewed favorably.
