Deskripsi pekerjaan
Role Overview
This role is centered on managing specialized MEP project work for Pneumatic Tube Systems (PTS) used in hospital development and refurbishment projects. The position covers both the bid stage and the delivery stage: first, you will prepare the technical and commercial parts of tenders, and after award, you will oversee site works, routing coordination, testing, and commissioning.
Tender and Pre-Contract Work
- Review hospital tender drawings, technical specifications, and bill of quantities related to hospital automation and PTS requirements.
- Obtain and assess quotations from PTS manufacturers, piping vendors, and subcontractors to support competitive pricing.
- Prepare technical submissions such as proposals, method statements, compliance documents, and system layout schematics in response to public healthcare tender requirements.
Post-Award Delivery and Site Execution
- Coordinate routing and detailed design with drafting teams to develop PTS shop drawings and BIM/Revit models.
- Resolve clashes and space constraints alongside other MEP services, including HVAC systems and medical gas piping.
- Oversee on-site installation of transport lines, diverter units, blower stations, and user terminals while maintaining hospital infection control and safety standards.
- Lead testing and commissioning activities, including pressure checks, software setup for station routing, and integration of the PTS with HIS/EHR systems.
Qualifications and Experience
The preferred candidate should hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Building Services. The role calls for 2 to 5 years of engineering experience in MEP construction, with exposure to Pneumatic Tube Systems, medical gas installations, or similarly automated material-handling systems in healthcare settings.
Technical Knowledge
Strong ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings and schematics is essential. Familiarity with AutoCAD and BIM/Navisworks for coordination and clash detection is highly preferred. Local knowledge of Singapore tendering practices, including GeBIZ and BCA building codes, will be an advantage, along with understanding of hospital project environments.
