About the role
Setpoint Capital is hiring a Senior Manager for its Operations team in New York City. The role sits at the center of the investment lifecycle and supports transactions from pre-close through ongoing portfolio management. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this is a high-ownership position for someone who enjoys building scalable processes in a fast-paced environment.
Setpoint supports the operational infrastructure behind credit relationships that help power important financial transactions. The company focuses on improving trust and efficiency across asset-backed lending and capital markets workflows.
What you’ll do
You’ll own a broad set of operational work across new deals and existing facilities, working closely with internal teams and external counterparties.
- Run pre-close operational review for new facilities, including KYC/OFAC checks, insurance review, custody and servicing setup, data tape configuration, and cash control design.
- Oversee day-to-day post-close activity across the portfolio, such as custody monitoring, funding request review and approval, and facility oversight.
- Assess when leverage should be drawn or repaid, build borrowing bases, and coordinate lender submissions with Debt Capital Markets.
- Manage lien searches and BPO refreshes throughout the portfolio.
- Support enforcement matters and special situations, including servicer transitions and collateral control actions.
- Work with Investments, Legal, Finance, and Debt Capital Markets on execution, renewals, amendments, and reporting obligations.
- Make sure portfolio and collateral information is correctly captured in internal systems and support reporting accuracy with the analytics team.
- Coordinate technology onboarding for new facilities and help improve processes and products with the technology team.
- Use AI-enabled tools to streamline workflows, reduce operational risk, and improve efficiency.
- Spot operational gaps and drive changes that make the platform easier to scale as the portfolio expands.
What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate has experience in operations, structured finance, credit, or asset management, with a preference for real estate finance or specialty lending. You should be comfortable handling several complex workflows at once, often under tight deadlines, and be able to work independently with good judgment.
- Strong understanding of credit facility mechanics, including borrowing bases, advance rates, eligibility rules, concentration limits, and leverage partner reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills, plus familiarity with data and reporting tools; SQL or BI tools are an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently in a deadline-driven setting.
- Clear communication style and confidence working with teams across the business as well as with borrowers, lenders, custodians, and servicers.
- Strong judgment and the ability to perform well in ambiguous or time-sensitive situations.
- Previous experience in a high-growth environment is preferred.
