Senior FPGA Emulation Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior FPGA Emulation Engineer to contribute to highly complex and demanding semiconductor programs. This position is based onsite in Cork, County Cork, Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement FPGA-based emulation solutions across Veloce, Palladium, and FPGA prototyping environments.
• Own synthesis, place-and-route, design constraints, and timing closure activities for advanced FPGA builds.
• Support SoC bring-up through waveform review, instrumentation, and detailed content-level analysis.
• Work closely with international design and software teams, while also handling relationships with EDA vendors.
• Coach and guide junior team members and act as a representative for the group in senior technical discussions.

Qualifications and Experience

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline is required.
• Applicants should bring strong hands-on experience in FPGA design, verification, and emulation.
• Working knowledge of SystemVerilog and HDL is expected.
• Experience with AMD/Xilinx UltraScale+ and MPSoC platforms is preferred; Altera experience will be considered an advantage.
• A demonstrated track record of successful FPGA implementation and timing closure is essential.
