Role overview
This is a senior, high-impact communications leadership position supporting a major global client within a complex, matrixed organization. The role is centered on owning communications that reach members, making sure every message is clear, consistent, and aligned with strategy across digital, in-app, and traditional channels. You will serve as a senior communications advisor to client stakeholders while managing planning, execution, and optimization from start to finish. The work combines strategy, editorial leadership, and operational discipline in a fast-moving, high-volume environment. Success in the role depends on connecting messaging decisions to measurable engagement outcomes that improve both client satisfaction and member experience.
Key accountabilities
You will oversee the full end-to-end lifecycle of member communications and coordinate all associated channels with accuracy and strategic alignment.
- Shape communications strategy by turning program objectives into integrated calendars and multi-channel campaign plans.
- Act as the main communications partner for a dedicated global client, advising on message direction, timing, and delivery.
- Work closely with client stakeholders to align priorities, brand standards, and upcoming communication needs.
- Handle final-quality checks, including proofreading, audience verification, link testing, and brand compliance before client review.
- Provide creative and editorial guidance to writers, designers, and campaign managers.
- Use performance metrics, engagement data, and behavioral insights to improve communication effectiveness over time.
- Keep campaign trackers, SharePoint, Zendesk, and internal communication tools organized to support visibility and efficient workflows.
- Strengthen planning discipline and reduce revision loops through better alignment, governance, and internal communication processes.
- Use AI and newer communication tools to support content creation, optimization, and reporting while applying sound editorial judgment.
Requirements
This role calls for an experienced communications professional with strong client-facing, editorial, and strategic planning skills.
- At least 7 years of experience in communications, marketing, or client-facing content strategy, preferably in complex enterprise or matrixed settings.
- Demonstrated success managing multi-channel communication programs in high-volume environments with many stakeholders and approval steps.
- Background in embedded client work or account-based roles, ideally supporting large enterprise or Fortune-level organizations.
- Strong writing, editing, messaging, and content-development abilities with the confidence to guide tone, structure, and clarity across formats.
- Experience using engagement analytics and performance data to guide planning and optimize content.
- Working familiarity with enterprise tools such as Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, CMS platforms, Zendesk, SharePoint, and Viva Engage.
- Strong stakeholder management and advisory skills, including the ability to influence senior client partners and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent attention to detail with solid proofreading, QA, and brand-governance capabilities.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment without sacrificing quality.
- Experience in health, wellness, benefits, or related sectors is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on use of generative AI tools for content creation, workflow improvement, or optimization is a plus.

- Base pay is competitive and aligned to experience and market levels, with a salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000.
