Role Summary

This full-time, on-site position in Peterborough, Ontario is focused on helping customers find the right print and design solutions. The Sales Associate will greet visitors, learn what they need, guide them toward suitable services or products, prepare estimates, take orders and payments, and work closely with production colleagues to make sure work is completed correctly and on schedule. The role also includes maintaining displays, keeping the work area tidy, resolving basic customer questions or order issues, and helping drive repeat business through excellent in-store service.

Key Responsibilities

Serve customers in person and identify their printing and design requirements.

Suggest appropriate products and services based on customer needs.

Create quotes, process orders, and handle payment transactions accurately.

Coordinate with production staff to ensure orders are completed correctly and delivered on time.

Maintain product displays and keep the counter and workspace organized.

Provide basic support for customer inquiries and order troubleshooting.

Promote company services and help encourage repeat business.

Contribute to a professional, positive, and efficient store environment.

Qualifications

Applicants should bring customer service and sales ability, including active listening and the skill to assess needs and recommend suitable solutions. A basic comfort level with printers, copiers, and point-of-sale systems is expected, along with a willingness to learn print and design processes. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are important, especially when managing several requests at once in a calm and efficient manner. Attention to detail, accurate order and payment handling, and solid organization in a busy setting are also essential. Experience in retail, print services, or another customer-facing role is considered an advantage. Candidates must be able to stand for long periods, lift and move print materials or packages when required, follow workplace safety practices, and work a full-time schedule that may include evenings and weekends depending on business needs.
