About the role
Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care is looking for a Sales Advisor to be the first friendly face customers meet in branch. The role is centred on making people feel comfortable, listened to, and well supported while they choose products and services that can make a real difference to their everyday lives.
You will spend your day helping customers with eyewear and hearing care solutions in a busy, customer-led setting, offering knowledgeable guidance and a welcoming service from start to finish.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome customers in a courteous, professional manner.
- Support customers in choosing optical and hearing products that suit their needs.
- Offer straightforward advice on frames, lenses, and hearing care options.
- Use branch systems to handle sales and appointment bookings.
- Assist with stock control and product display.
- Help maintain a tidy, inviting, and well-organised shop floor.
- Collaborate with Optometrists, Hearing Aid Audiologists, and other branch colleagues to ensure customers receive a smooth experience.
What we are looking for
We are seeking someone who is approachable, upbeat, and confident when speaking with customers. Experience in retail or customer service would be helpful, but it is not a must-have.
The right person will be comfortable working with others as well as taking initiative independently. A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, basic computer skills, and a careful eye for detail are all important for success in this role.
