Role overview
Mantra Trilogy sits on Cairns Esplanade, close to the Coral Sea, and features 225 rooms across three towers, including hotel rooms plus one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. The setting offers a tropical lifestyle with access to the Great Barrier Reef, esplanade cafés and restaurants, Cape Tribulation, and local markets.
As a Room Attendant, you are a key part of the housekeeping team. Your work helps keep guest rooms spotless, details polished, and guests supported throughout their stay. The role also involves working closely with teammates and assisting guests whenever needed to create a memorable hospitality experience.
What you'll do
- Clean guest rooms thoroughly, including replacing linens, sanitising bathrooms, and wiping surfaces to deliver a strong first impression.
- Carry out duties in line with the property’s housekeeping standards and procedures.
- Keep housekeeping trolleys stocked, tidy, and ready for use.
- Handle cleaning products safely and follow all required safety practices.
- Protect guest privacy and maintain a secure, respectful environment.
- Escalate maintenance concerns quickly so issues can be addressed without delay.
Experience and skills
The ideal candidate brings a service-minded attitude, clear and friendly communication, strong attention to detail, and good time management. The job is physically active and may involve moving between rooms via internal and external stairways and open walkways. You should also be comfortable working with colleagues from different backgrounds and be available for varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Reliable transport is required. Prior experience in cleaning or room attendant work is an advantage.
