Role Overview

This position is for an energetic, inquisitive, and highly resourceful recruiter who will focus on hiring the handypeople that support the company’s service across the country. The role is hands-on and built for someone who enjoys creating systems, sourcing proactively, and using technology to speed up and improve recruiting.

You will partner directly with the National Operations Lead and take ownership of a key part of the business from the start: bringing in the right talent quickly and effectively. AI tools, including Claude, will be part of the day-to-day workflow to streamline sourcing, screening, and process improvement.

No previous recruiting background is required. The company is prioritizing curiosity, drive, and the ability to help build something from the ground up.

What You Will Own

  • Manage end-to-end recruiting to hire more than 10 handypeople each month across the country.
  • Develop and sustain a strong candidate pipeline through inventive sourcing methods.
  • Introduce AI-enabled screening and outreach processes to expand the funnel and shorten hiring timelines.
  • Test new sourcing channels and continuously refine the approach for finding tradespeople.
  • Ensure every candidate has a fast, friendly, and professional experience from first contact through day one.

Day-to-Day Work

  • Find candidates and review resumes using sources such as Indeed, Craigslist, and other channels.
  • Maintain candidate interest and communication throughout the hiring process.
  • Create and update job posts, while keeping the ATS (Ashby) organized and accurate.
  • Schedule interviews, gather feedback, and keep hiring managers aligned.
  • Build AI-driven workflows with Claude to automate repetitive sourcing and screening tasks.
  • Support offer delivery and onboarding, ensuring each hire is fully closed out.
