Role Overview
An opportunity is available for a QC Mechanical Inspector in Udupi/Mangaluru for a consultancy-led hiring requirement. The position is focused on fabrication and inspection activities across piping, welding, structural work, and pressure equipment.
Key Technical Coverage
The ideal candidate should bring hands-on exposure to piping inspection as per ASME B31.3, welding and structural inspection aligned with AWS D1.1, and pressure vessel inspection under ASME Section VIII Division 1. The role also calls for end-to-end quality control support across fabrication activities.
Work Scope
- Carry out inspection of piping systems in line with ASME B31.3 requirements.
- Verify welding and structural work against AWS D1.1 standards.
- Inspect pressure vessels as per ASME Section VIII Division 1.
- Coordinate NDT activities and witness PMI where required.
- Check fit-up, dimensional accuracy, and pressure testing stages.
- Provide full QC coverage through the fabrication cycle.
