About the Role
This position is based in the Perth CBD office and sits within a busy international proposals team. The successful candidate will support the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, working closely with regional leaders and the Riyadh office to convert technical strategies into persuasive, compliant submissions that reflect the company’s approach to innovative solutions and strong client results.
The role is connected to the MENA region, so regular interaction across time zones is expected. This includes frequent mid-afternoon meetings in Western Australia time to suit MENA working hours, and early morning coordination with North America when needed. The role also offers mentorship and guidance from the APAC Proposals Leader within a global setting.
Key Duties
Reporting to the Proposals Manager & Lead for APAC/Africa, you will coordinate and support the full bid lifecycle, with primary attention on MENA opportunities.
- Lead the preparation of proposals, RFIs, pre-qualifications and EOIs from start to finish, ensuring they are compliant, persuasive and competitive.
- Shape the proposal workflow by reviewing client requirements, building response plans, running launch meetings and coordinating technical reviews.
- Partner with business development and operations teams to develop win strategies, craft value propositions and prepare executive summaries tailored to MENA pursuits.
- Work with internal stakeholders, global business units and external partners to deliver strong bid submissions.
- Coordinate with technical experts to define requirements and create achievable proposal timelines.
- Edit and proofread both technical and non-technical material to improve clarity, consistency, accuracy and overall impact.
- Create written and visual content for proposals, qualifications and presentations.
- Collect company details, carry out internal and external research, and apply market intelligence to strengthen submissions.
- Support post-bid reviews by documenting lessons learned and identifying improvements for future tenders.
- Maintain sales collateral such as project write-ups, capability statements and client testimonials.
- Update and manage knowledge repositories that support local and global team performance.
About You
You should be comfortable working in a fast-moving, internationally connected environment and willing to adjust working hours to support collaboration across regions.
- You can juggle multiple priorities and work effectively with diverse teams across countries and time zones.
- You deliver high-quality output under pressure and can meet tight deadlines.
- You bring a strategic mindset and can influence pursuit direction and outcomes.
- You have strong writing, editing and Microsoft Office skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- You can translate technical information into clear, client-oriented messaging.
Highly Regarded Experience
- Prior involvement in proposals for the Middle East, Africa or the wider MENA region.
- Background in mining, resources, oil and gas, or industrial engineering sectors.
- Ability to speak Arabic and/or French.
