About the Role
H&H is looking to add a Project Manager to its New York City office. The company is a well-established, nationwide infrastructure engineering firm with a long track record of delivering practical and innovative solutions that support community growth. Its work covers the full project lifecycle, from planning and design through construction, while it continues to expand its capabilities, broaden its reach, and invest in long-term growth.
Responsibilities
- Oversee delivery of medium-value or moderately complex projects.
- Build and maintain the project plan, including resource needs and requests.
- Track project progress, deliverables, and financial performance.
- Make sure all project work and submissions comply with the Quality Management Plan.
- Ensure project activities and deliverables follow the firm’s technical standards and policies.
- Lead and supervise the project team.
- Support proposal efforts for new opportunities by helping shape the management approach and cost estimate.
- Develop project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Promote collaboration by identifying work-sharing assignments across the team.
- Coordinate with other business units to support shared project assignments.
- Attend project meetings and present relevant portions of assigned work.
- Work regularly with clients and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required, ideally licensed in New York.
- At least 12 years of engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on design; structural engineering experience is preferred.
- Prior background as a Project Manager, Project Engineer, Deputy Project Manager, or Design Manager.
- Experience with alternate delivery methods is preferred.
- Familiarity with local public-sector clients such as NYSDOT, NYCDOT, MTA, PANYNJ, or NYCDDC.
- Ability to work effectively within a design team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
