Project Engineer – Interior Fit-Out

Job summary

This role is for a Project Engineer with solid hands-on experience in interior fit-out work, especially on projects in Abu Dhabi. The position focuses on coordinating site operations so that work is completed on schedule, stays within budget, and meets the expected quality and safety benchmarks.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and guide interior fit-out activities on airport-related projects.
• Work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep execution aligned.
• Examine drawings, specifications, and other technical project documents.
• Track work progress and make sure the project stays on the planned timeline.
• Carry out site checks and verify compliance with quality and safety requirements.
• Compile progress updates on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Coordinate procurement of materials and manage manpower planning needs.
• Address technical challenges and site issues in a timely manner.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate status updates to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar discipline. A minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in interior fit-out projects in Abu Dhabi is required. Prior project experience in Abu Dhabi is mandatory. Strong familiarity with Abu Dhabi government approvals and mall approval processes is essential. The role also demands a good understanding of fit-out construction techniques, materials, and execution practices. Excellent communication and coordination abilities are necessary, along with the capability to manage several stakeholders and perform under demanding deadlines. UAE experience is preferred, and a valid UAE driving license is compulsory.
