Role overview
This opening is for a Product Manager in the Sunvizen business within Sun Pharma’s India Business function. The position is based in Mumbai and sits at job grade G10, reporting to the Cluster Head.
The role focuses on managing the product life cycle for the brand portfolio and building plans that improve profitability, revenue, and market share over both the near and long term. It calls for strong ownership, the ability to coordinate across teams, and a sharp understanding of market trends and customer needs.

What the role involves
- Building and executing strategic and operating plans for the brand portfolio to strengthen profitability, market share, and revenue growth.
- Leading key business assignments that support the broader goals of the business unit.
- Planning marketing and promotional activity that addresses customer needs and supports product performance.
- Driving implementation of marketing strategy through close coordination with the sales force.
- Gathering market intelligence through primary research and direct customer interaction.
- Working with internal and external media partners to deliver campaigns and communication effectively.
- Equipping the field sales team with product knowledge, scientific understanding, and communication capability through training and guidance.
- Coordinating with medical affairs, learning and development, and R&D teams as part of execution and planning.
- Creating brand plans and market penetration strategies based on research and competitor analysis.
- Carrying out SWOT analysis for the product line and helping the sales team identify growth opportunities.
- Developing promotional assets such as visual aids, leave-behind literature, newsletters, flipcharts, websites, app launches, webinars, and other digital campaign material.
- Organizing meetings, scientific symposia, CMEs, and conferences to build visibility among healthcare professionals and hospitals.
- Supporting the sales team through training camps, recognition programs, award events, and motivational initiatives.
- Managing product forecasting, new product pipeline planning, pre-launch and launch strategy, and post-launch growth initiatives.
Working relationships and scope
Internal coordination will be required with BD, Medical, other teams in the cluster, Purchase, and Admin. External interaction will involve vendors and agencies. The role covers a pan-India geographical scope.
Requirements
- A B. Pharm, M. Pharm, and MBA combination is required.
- Candidates should have 3 to 4 years of experience.
- Applicants need a strong background in product management within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Knowledge of products, market research, competitor tracking, forecasting, and sales management is important.
- The role also demands creativity, analytical thinking, effective communication, cross-functional collaboration, team building, and leadership ability.
