Role overview
You will join the procurement function to support the end-to-end handling of buying activities, including sourcing support, purchase order processing, invoice management, vendor coordination, and issue resolution. The role focuses on ensuring procurement transactions are completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with internal controls and service targets.
About the company
Accenture is a global professional services organization with strengths in digital, cloud, and security. Backed by deep experience and specialized capabilities across more than 40 industries, it delivers strategy, consulting, technology, and operations services, along with creative services through Accenture Song. Its workforce of 784,000 serves clients across more than 120 countries, helping create value through technology and human ingenuity.
Key responsibilities
This position supports the procurement management team across sourcing and transactional operations. The work includes identifying needs, coordinating with approved suppliers, collecting quotations, comparing pricing and lead times, supporting contract discussions, and helping manage purchase order activity from requisition to invoice closure. The role also involves resolving discrepancies between procurement, billing, and payments while maintaining strong service quality.
You will also be expected to handle spot buy sourcing activity, support self-service requisitioning controls, manage PO and non-PO invoice processing in Coupa or SAP, and assist with invoice scanning and OCR batch routing. In addition, the job requires investigation and correction of interface or posting errors, support for GRIR and debit balance clearing, vendor statement reconciliation, ad hoc reporting, document upkeep, audit support, and continuous improvement actions such as root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
Working style and expectations
The role is an individual contributor position within a team with a defined scope of work. Day-to-day interaction is primarily with teammates and the direct supervisor, with limited exposure to clients or senior management. You will receive moderate guidance for routine tasks and more detailed direction for new assignments. The role may require rotational shifts.
Qualifications and experience
A graduation degree in any discipline is required. The expected experience level is 3 to 5 years, with a focus on procurement operations and procurement support work.
Additional requirements
You should be comfortable solving routine to moderately complex issues using established procedures and escalation paths. The position calls for attention to detail, the ability to work within SLA/KPI targets, and discipline in following internal controls and compliance expectations, including SOX requirements. Timely maintenance of SOPs and procedures is also part of the role.
About the work
Procurement in this context is about securing goods, services, or works from external sources through structured buying processes, often involving competitive sourcing. The goal is to obtain the best overall value by balancing price with quality, quantity, timing, and location considerations. The procurement team supports sustainability by managing supplier identification, qualification, proposal requests, negotiation, contracting, delivery follow-up, and results analysis.
Note
The role focuses on procurement operations and support, and may involve repetitive transactional work along with issue resolution and reporting responsibilities.
