Role overview
This position is focused on building, rolling out, and managing category plans that produce clear results across several sectors. The role combines strategic thinking with practical delivery and requires someone who can shape outcomes while keeping supplier performance and stakeholder needs in balance.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies that create measurable value.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with important suppliers.
- Handle complex negotiation processes from preparation through to conclusion.
- Promote new ideas and approaches that improve efficiency and overall impact.
What you will need to bring
You should have solid experience in a comparable position and be comfortable operating as a strategic leader in procurement, category management, or commercial roles. Success in this job will come from combining long-term planning with practical execution and from confidently influencing people across different levels of the organisation.
- A relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience, knowledge, and capability, together with a commitment to continued professional growth.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Strong capability in procurement, negotiation, and contract administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good judgement, strong organisational understanding, and awareness of political sensitivities.
