The role is designed for someone who can help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly while creating a warm, organized environment for students and families.
The center focuses on helping K–8 students strengthen their math fundamentals through tailored instruction. The organization is part of TAL Education Group, a global education and technology company. The work culture emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and ongoing growth for both students and staff.
Compensation and schedule
This is an in-person position with a schedule of up to 20 hours per week. Pay is hourly at $20 to $25, depending on experience.
What you will do
You will support the Center Manager and headquarters team across operations, family service, tutor coordination, and center administration. The role combines front-desk support with behind-the-scenes organizational work and community-facing activities.
Center operations and student experience
- Help maintain smooth daily center operations, including class scheduling and student flow.
- Act as the first point of contact at the front desk for students and families, ensuring a courteous and professional welcome.
- Assist in tracking student progress and family satisfaction.
- Support administrative duties such as scheduling, preparing materials, and keeping resources organized.
Growth and community engagement
- Support local outreach efforts, including school engagement and community events.
- Contribute to center growth by nurturing relationships with families and encouraging retention and referrals.
Team coordination and support
- Assist with tutor onboarding, scheduling, and everyday coordination.
- Help manage internal communication and operational updates.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and professional team environment.
Qualifications
- You should be approachable, reliable, and attentive to detail.
- Strong verbal communication and people skills are important.
- An interest in education and working with families is preferred.
- You must be based in the Bay Area and available to work on site.
- Background in education, customer service, or operations is advantageous.
- A bachelor’s degree, or current enrollment in one, is preferred.
Growth opportunities
The company offers chances to build leadership, communication, and operations skills. You may learn directly from experienced center managers and HQ mentors, and there is potential to move toward a full-time Center Manager role as the organization continues to grow.
