Learning and Development Specialist

Role overview

Nebras Energy is looking for a senior technical learning and development professional to lead specialized training initiatives for both new hires and current employees. The position is centered on building strong technical capability across the workforce, with a particular focus on power plant operations and the wider energy sector.

What you will do

• Develop and manage structured training paths for managerial and technical employees, covering local and overseas development opportunities.
• Oversee induction and capability-building programs for new joiners so they can transition effectively into technical positions.
• Work with academic and professional institutions, including Qatar Energy, CNA-Q, and overseas organizations, on scholarship-related coordination.
• Handle training venue arrangements, supplier discussions, travel coordination, and visa administration.
• Monitor learning and development spending, support budget control, and route invoices through HRMS.

Required background

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering is compulsory.
• At least 8 years of experience in learning and development or training within the energy or power industry is required.
• Proven ability to create technical or national training programs from the initial concept through implementation is necessary.
• Experience with Lotus Notes is an added advantage.
• Strong command of English is essential, while Arabic will be considered a plus.
• Previous work experience in the GCC region is advantageous.
