Role overview

Dyson’s In-House Manufacturing (IHM) Finance team acts as the main finance partner for the IHM Operations function, which covers Dyson Digital Motors’ global manufacturing activities. The team supports operational goals by building collaborative relationships with stakeholders and helping them achieve shared objectives.

The company is looking for a Lead Finance Analyst to strengthen the manufacturing cost management function within the IHM Finance team. This position calls for solid experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, along with a strong understanding of manufacturing finance and a sharp attention to detail. The role will support business decisions by working closely with key stakeholders and may also involve ad hoc analysis from time to time.

This is a strong opportunity to gain deep exposure to Dyson’s in-house manufacturing technology and operating processes. The role is based in Singapore and reports to the Finance Manager – IHM Finance.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop detailed manufacturing cost analyses and financial models to support planning and decision-making.
  • Contribute to month-end closing work and review manufacturing finance performance.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Examine core processes to help ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations, while also identifying opportunities for process enhancement, efficiency gains, and cost reduction.
  • Work with stakeholders across in-house manufacturing locations to help them meet site-level goals.
  • Carry out ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate should bring manufacturing and costing experience, strong analytical capability, and the confidence to work with cross-functional stakeholders. You should be comfortable challenging processes, solving problems, and communicating financial insights clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences.

Additional requirements and working style

The role requires the ability to work across functions and cultures, including with remote teams. You should be comfortable presenting to managers and directors, influencing peers and senior stakeholders, and working independently with strong operational discipline and a clear focus on deadlines.

Equal opportunity statement

Dyson is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from people of all backgrounds. Hiring decisions are made without regard to race, colour, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, protected veteran status, or any other protected characteristic.

Qualifications and experience

A qualified accountant or someone with an equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred, along with manufacturing and costing experience. The role also requires at least 5 to 6 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis.

Tools and capabilities

Strong Excel skills are essential, and SAP experience would be an added advantage. Excellent spoken and written English is required.
