About THINKINK
THINKINK is a specialized communications agency focused on B2B technology and services brands across aviation, loyalty, payments, retail, sustainability, and travel. The agency helps clients improve visibility, sharpen market positioning, and drive commercial growth through integrated communications, media relations, research, and content-led programs. Its work is centered on solving business challenges with strong strategy, clear storytelling, and thoughtful visual execution.
Design at THINKINK
At THINKINK, design is a core part of how complex ideas are communicated. Whether the work involves launching a travel payments brand, designing research that shapes industry thinking, or building executive thought leadership, the design function turns strategy into something audiences can quickly understand, remember, and act on. This role is involved from the earliest stages of a project and is expected to contribute ideas, question assumptions, and help shape outcomes alongside the wider team.
Role Overview
The company is hiring a Lead Creative Designer who can pair strategic thinking with high-level creative delivery. This is a senior, hands-on role responsible for guiding creative work from concept through final execution across multiple B2B client accounts. The role combines creative leadership with direct production work, meaning you will both shape the direction of projects and build the assets yourself.
You will work closely with clients, writers, strategists, developers, and PR professionals. The role includes leading creative conversations, presenting concepts, and creating design work for websites, social media, reports, presentations, campaigns, and brand identities. You should be comfortable discussing website journeys with developers, defending ideas in client meetings, refining content structure with strategists, and then moving into Figma or other tools to deliver the final result on time.
Creative Strategy and Direction
- Own the visual identity and creative direction for THINKINK clients as well as the agency’s own brand.
- Turn business goals, communications objectives, and campaign needs into clear creative concepts.
- Define the visual approach for accounts and maintain consistency throughout design and production.
- Present and explain creative thinking directly to clients and stand behind the recommendations.
Hands-On Design Execution
- Create high-quality design for digital campaigns, social media, websites, email, presentations, and brand systems.
- Develop polished reports, eBooks, white papers, and other B2B marketing materials.
- Design graphics for events, exhibitions, and related event collateral.
- Develop distinctive social and digital concepts for B2B audiences.
- Create and refine brand guidelines covering elements such as logos, typography, color, and visual style.
- Support website redesign projects with web-first design thinking.
- Build presentation decks that combine strong visual structure with messaging clarity.
- Edit and retouch images, documents, and other assets for digital use and, where required, print.
Digital-First Delivery
- Design with web, social, email, and digital campaign constraints in mind from the start.
- Work closely with developers and digital specialists without needing work to be translated between disciplines.
- Use AI-supported tools to accelerate ideation, iteration, and production while setting an example for team adoption.
- Stay informed on trends in digital design, motion, and typography and apply them appropriately to client work.
Client and Account Partnership
- Serve as the senior creative lead in client meetings and day-to-day relationships.
- Work with account managers and leadership to scope creative projects and align expectations.
- Respond to client and internal feedback while protecting the quality of the creative output.
Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with PR, content, digital, social, and research teams to keep creative aligned with broader programs.
- Step into projects mid-way when needed and maintain brand continuity through delivery.
- Help improve the agency’s creative standards and working processes as the team expands.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who starts by asking the right questions before opening a design tool. You should naturally consider audience needs, messaging, user experience, and business objectives before deciding on visual treatment. The role calls for curiosity, collaboration, commercial awareness, and the ability to know when to challenge a brief, defend a recommendation, or adapt based on client feedback.
You should also be comfortable in a fast-moving agency environment where priorities can shift quickly and you may move between different brands and industries within the same day or week.
Ideal Background
- 8+ years of experience in design, with progression into a lead, Associate Creative Director, or Creative Director role, ideally in an agency client-service environment such as PR, advertising, or marketing.
- A strong history of owning creative strategy and presenting it directly to clients.
- A portfolio that shows digital-first B2B work created natively for web, social, email, and digital campaigns.
- Experience directing creative work independently rather than working under a senior designer.
- Advanced ability in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Strong working knowledge of Figma.
- Comfort with generative AI design tools for image, video, and copy, plus the ability to build AI-assisted workflows that improve speed without reducing craft.
- Advanced presentation design capability in Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence in senior client-facing situations.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through when working to tight deadlines.
- Comfort working remotely as part of a small distributed team.
Preferred Experience
- Background in B2B technology, especially aviation, travel, fintech/payments, loyalty, retail, or sustainability.
- Experience in motion design, animation, or video editing.
- Experience building brand identities and design systems.
- Print and production knowledge.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- A degree in Graphic Design or a related discipline.
