Role overview
Healthcare Services Group is seeking a Laundry Worker for a long-term care setting in Salem, West Virginia. In this position, you will help keep linens and personal garments clean, organized, and readily available so the facility can operate smoothly and residents receive a high standard of service.
The company emphasizes service quality, community impact, and a respectful environment for residents and staff alike. This is a hands-on role for someone who is dependable, service-oriented, and comfortable with repetitive tasks in a care facility.
Bonus opportunity
This position includes a $1,000 retention bonus paid in stages: $250 after 150 working hours, $250 after 300 working hours, and $500 after 900 working hours.

Key duties
Daily work includes collecting laundry, sorting items, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and residents’ clothing. You will also use laundry equipment safely, keep activity records, and alert a supervisor about maintenance or safety concerns. The role requires adherence to infection control practices and universal precautions, along with courteous interaction with residents, staff, and visitors.
Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
What the employer is looking for
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Prior laundry experience is helpful but not mandatory. The role calls for a positive attitude, clear communication with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership, and the ability to handle routine, repetitive work reliably.
Applicants must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies and be able to follow both verbal and written instructions. The job also requires the ability to work around cleaning products and meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds, and standing, sitting, bending, and walking for long periods. Residency within the service area is required.
