Role overview
TRGC is hiring a Kitchen Porter to help maintain high standards in a busy hospitality setting in Edinburgh. This role is part of a large UK-wide restaurant group with a strong presence across restaurants, pub restaurants and airport concessions.
You will play a key part in keeping kitchen operations running smoothly, supporting the team to deliver food that looks great, is served to a high standard, and encourages guests to return. The role suits someone who takes pride in cleanliness, consistency and working as part of a fast-moving kitchen team.
Airport-based shifts may begin as early as 3:00am, so early starts are part of the job; in return, they can also mean earlier finishes.

Key duties
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining excellent presentation and service standards.
- Help ensure dishes are delivered to a quality that keeps guests satisfied and coming back.
- Keep the kitchen environment organised, clean and operating to a high standard.
- Contribute ideas that may help improve dishes, processes or overall kitchen performance.
- Provide dependable service in a busy airport setting at different times of day, including very early shifts.

Candidate profile
We are looking for someone who has kitchen porter experience or has worked in a trainee capacity. You should be comfortable staying positive in a fast-paced airport environment and be flexible with working hours, including very early starts.
Applicants must be able to provide a five-year history covering work, education or personal references, and they must be willing to complete a criminal record check.
