About Browns
Browns has been reshaping luxury retail since opening in London in 1970. Now part of Farfetch, the brand brings together established fashion houses and emerging labels, offering a highly curated luxury shopping experience known for strong style leadership, creativity, and elevated service.
The business values individuality, inclusion, and collaboration. Its culture is built around kindness, respect for differences, and creating an environment where diverse perspectives and skills are welcomed and valued.
Role overview
We are seeking a fashion-focused Junior Personal Shopper to join the Personal Shopping team at Browns Boutique in Mayfair, London. This is a boutique-based, client-facing position suited to someone who enjoys luxury fashion, relationship building, and hands-on retail service.
You will often be one of the first people clients meet in the boutique, so creating a polished first impression will be a major part of your role. The goal is to offer a warm, tailored experience that encourages both immediate purchases and long-term client loyalty.
Alongside in-store service, you will also contribute to Browns' omnichannel client journey by using digital communication to stay in touch with clients beyond the boutique. Working with the Personal Shopping team, you will share styling suggestions, new product launches, and exclusive collections while developing your own client base over time.
What you'll be responsible for
- Greeting clients at the boutique and delivering a welcoming, luxury-first introduction to the Browns experience.
- Assisting walk-in shoppers by understanding their needs, offering styling guidance, and turning conversations into sales opportunities.
- Supporting the Personal Shopping team with appointments, item preparation, fulfilment, and post-purchase follow-up.
- Building your own client relationships through consistent follow-ups, personalised recommendations, and attentive communication.
- Reaching out to clients digitally with curated selections, fresh arrivals, and special launches using CRM and other communication tools.
- Creating tailored edits and lookbooks that reflect individual preferences and encourage repeat engagement.
- Helping maintain the boutique through opening and closing routines, floor standards, display replenishment, and overall presentation.
- Keeping client details and activity updated accurately in retail and CRM systems such as D365, Shopify, and Canva.
- Working closely with the Client Development Manager, Personal Shoppers, and boutique colleagues to support commercial goals, events, and activations.
- Assisting with client events, designer trunk shows, and in-boutique activations through hosting, appointment coordination, and preparation.
- Taking on additional duties as the Personal Shopping team and boutique needs evolve.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in luxury retail, along with a genuine interest in fashion, designers, accessories, and fine jewellery.
- A friendly, confident approach to hosting and making clients feel comfortable and valued.
- A strong service mindset with a clear focus on building lasting customer relationships.
- A commercial attitude and motivation to sell, achieve targets, and grow business opportunities.
- Comfort working as part of a team and contributing to shared goals.
- Good organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to handle several priorities at once.
- Confidence using CRM platforms, retail systems, and digital tools.
- Flexibility to work in a busy luxury retail setting, including weekends and peak trading periods.
