Junior Data Analyst

Role overview

We are looking for a junior-level data analyst who is comfortable working with data, producing reports, and turning numbers into practical business insights. What you will do

• Gather data from internal and external sources, then clean, verify, and structure it for analysis.
• Study datasets to uncover trends, patterns, irregularities, and useful findings.
• Create reports, dashboards, and visual presentations that help teams make informed decisions.
• Support the development and upkeep of reporting and business intelligence workflows.
• Track important KPIs and other operational metrics.
• Check data for accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Handle ad-hoc data pulls, extracts, and analysis requests from different stakeholders.
• Work with teams across the business to understand reporting needs and target outcomes.
• Record data handling steps, analysis methods, and reporting standards.
• Contribute to process improvement efforts using data findings and performance tracking.
• Help strengthen data governance practices and overall data quality.
• Keep yourself informed about analytics tools, reporting platforms, and industry best practices.

What we are looking for

• A basic grasp of analytics, statistics, and reporting principles.
• Strong Excel ability, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and analytical functions.
• SQL knowledge for data querying and extraction is preferred.
• Exposure to visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio is an added advantage.
• Understanding of databases, data structures, and data handling concepts.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and work within deadlines.
• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a closely related area is preferred.
