IT Support Specialist

Job Summary

This role is for an experienced IT Support Specialist who will help keep the company’s technology environment running smoothly. The position focuses on supporting systems, infrastructure, and end-user devices, with an emphasis on Windows environments, network basics, and day-to-day technical assistance. You will partner with internal teams to maintain reliability, security, and overall IT efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and assist with Windows servers, employee computers, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Oversee Active Directory, file servers, user access, and group policy settings.
• Deliver first- and second-level support for issues involving hardware, software, printers, network connectivity, and other IT incidents.
• Track network health, apply security updates, and maintain antivirus tools.
• Carry out backup routines, test disaster recovery readiness, and protect data integrity.
• Contribute to IT initiatives such as upgrades, network enhancements, and employee joiner/mover/leaver processes.
• Keep IT documentation current, including procedures, equipment records, and support logs.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware, software licensing, and technical support matters.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a similar discipline is preferred, though equivalent experience may also be considered.
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft certifications like MCSA/MD-100/MD-101, or ITIL are an advantage.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in IT support and systems administration.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and core networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with backup solutions, endpoint security tools, and remote support applications.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation abilities.
• Ability to handle several tasks independently while working well as part of a team.

This is a full-time remote role based in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.
