Role overview
We’re seeking a seasoned and driven IT Support Specialist to join a fast-moving team building software solutions for occupational health and workplace safety. The position suits someone who enjoys troubleshooting, guiding users, and keeping software systems running reliably in a customer-facing support setting.
This is a full-time, permanent role based in Paderborn, Germany, with a hybrid work setup and a 40-hour workweek. The start date is as soon as possible. Compensation is €40,000 to €45,000 gross per year, depending on experience.
What you’ll do
- Handle incoming technical questions from customers at both first- and second-line support levels.
- Track, record, and work through incidents in a ticketing platform.
- Investigate and fix issues involving Windows systems, software products, and connectivity.
- Use remote assistance tools to support customers efficiently.
- Partner with internal development and product teams to diagnose problems and improve service outcomes.
- Help refine support procedures and expand the internal knowledge base.
- Maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with customers during the full support process.
What we’re looking for
You should be technically confident, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a collaborative support environment.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a comparable technical support position.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Good understanding of PC hardware, Microsoft Office, and foundational networking concepts.
- Hands-on experience with ticketing tools such as Freshdesk or similar systems.
- Exposure to remote support software such as TeamViewer or equivalent tools.
- Strong analytical thinking and communication abilities.
- Native-level German at C2 is mandatory.
- English skills are beneficial but not required.
