Role overview
DAG Architects is looking for a driven Design Professional to join its architecture and interior design group in Destin, Florida. This role suits someone who enjoys thoughtful design, strong technical execution, and working across a project’s full lifecycle, from early ideas through construction closeout.
What you will do
- Create fresh architectural design concepts that respond to project objectives and the client’s vision.
- Turn early design ideas into well-coordinated construction documents with careful technical accuracy.
- Build strong visual presentations with Revit and rendering tools to clearly communicate design direction.
- Work through all project stages, including schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Draft and coordinate specifications and related technical documentation.
- Coordinate drawing sets and help ensure alignment with applicable building code requirements.
- Stay organized, manage details carefully, and help keep work on schedule and to quality standards.
- Contribute positively to a creative studio culture that values teamwork and collaboration.
- Support junior team members by helping them understand construction document standards and offering training.
Qualifications
- A degree in architecture, interior design, or a related discipline is required.
- Applicants should bring 3 to 5 years of professional architectural experience, including internship experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Lumion, and other relevant design software is expected.
- Experience across a range of project types such as education, multifamily, and hospitality is preferred.
- You should understand construction documents, specifications, and local building code requirements well.
- Clear verbal, graphic, and written communication skills are important.
- The role requires someone who can work independently as well as effectively within a team.
- A genuine interest in high-quality design and practical problem-solving is essential.

This is a salaried, paid full-time position based on-site. Pay depends on experience, licensure, and professional credentials.
