Role overview
Join a globally recognized Fortune Global 500 company and contribute to a fast-moving logistics environment at the airport cargo terminals in Singapore. This position is part of a team that supports cargo handling, package movement, and operational accuracy while upholding safety and security standards.
Key responsibilities
- Collect cargo from agents and hand it over at the airport cargo terminals.
- Sort incoming and outgoing parcels, and direct packages to X-ray screening when needed, including items flagged for additional inspection.
- Prepare clearance paperwork and confirm cargo receipt if required for the assignment.
- Scan import and export parcels to maintain visibility for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Open bags and repack small parcels and documents into UPS air bags.
- Load and unload parcels from feeder vehicles and containers.
- Use a forklift to move pallets and irregular items for sorting or dismantling.
- Coordinate with contractors supporting the loading and unloading workflow.
- Finish required training in Aviation Security, Health and Safety, and Finance Revenue Recovery.
- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
Job requirements
- Minimum education level: secondary school or an equivalent qualification.
- A Class 3 driving licence or forklift licence will be considered an advantage.
- One to two years of related experience is preferred.
- Must be able to handle packages weighing up to 30 kg.
- Basic spoken and written English is required.
- Should be willing to work rotating shifts, including rest days that may fall on weekdays instead of weekends.
