Role Overview
This position is for a General Labourer at a metals recycling facility in Martensville, Saskatchewan. The role supports daily site operations by sorting and processing metal materials while helping maintain a safe, orderly work environment.
Workplace and Schedule
This is a permanent full-time onsite role. The regular schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime and Saturday shifts as needed.
Responsibilities
- Sort non-ferrous metal material, cut it to the required size, and prepare it for packaging.
- Follow all company safety rules, procedures, and site requirements.
- Take part in safety activities such as daily tailgate meetings and last-minute risk assessments.
- Be open to training for additional roles and duties as needed.
- Work confidently with power tools and small hand tools.
- Perform pre-use checks on equipment before operation.
- Carry out cleaning, lubrication, refueling, and general upkeep of equipment and the site.
- Complete other related tasks as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
The role calls for a hands-on worker who is safety-conscious, adaptable, and comfortable working in a recycling and material-processing environment. A willingness to learn, operate tools, and support equipment and site upkeep is important.
