Role Overview
The IT Executive will be responsible for first-line support and, when needed, second-line troubleshooting for hospital technology users and systems. The position helps keep IT and communications infrastructure, networks, peripherals, and applications running reliably so that clinical and administrative teams can work without disruption. Protecting patient information and supporting healthcare software are also important parts of the role.
Strong written communication is needed to create IT procedures and flowcharts.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first contact for IT incidents and service requests.
- Provide prompt support to staff across clinical, administrative, and operational teams.
- Record incidents, fixes, and IT assets in a helpdesk or ticketing tool.
- Guide employees on basic IT use, security practices, and system rules.
- Deliver desktop support for computers, laptops, printers, and related devices.
- Track hardware inventory, support procurement, and coordinate with vendors for IT equipment.
- Oversee structured cabling and rack organization, and diagnose network connectivity issues.
- Assist with the setup of new workstations, IT hardware, and department expansions in line with IT and security guidelines.
- Prepare IT procedures in accordance with policy requirements.
- Install, configure, and manage biometric and access control systems.
- Maintain access control data, synchronization, and software updates.
- Identify and resolve device problems, including coordination with vendors when required.
- Plan, deploy, and maintain IP and analog CCTV systems across the hospital.
- Administer NVR/DVR recording systems, storage, and camera status monitoring.
- Carry out regular checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting for surveillance systems.
- Install, configure, and support IP telephony and IP PBX systems.
- Manage extensions, speed dials, and system health monitoring for telephony.
- Perform audits, maintenance, and troubleshooting for IP PBX-related systems.
- Set up and maintain BGM, digital signage/TV, and AV systems.
- Manage device data, synchronization, and updates for these systems.
- Resolve technical issues and coordinate with vendors where needed.
- Provide daily support to end users using AV solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or ITI in an IT-related technical field.
- 2 to 5 years of practical experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and system support.
- Ability to diagnose application issues and work with software vendors to resolve them.
- Experience in a hospital, clinic, or other healthcare IT setting is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with Hospital Management Software (HMS) or Hospital Information System (HIS) platforms is desirable.
