About the Role

Parsons is seeking a skilled Diver to support marine and underwater project activities in Abu Dhabi. This role is suited to someone who can work safely and effectively in demanding underwater environments while contributing to inspection, installation, maintenance, and survey-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out underwater inspections of structures, foundations, and seabed conditions, then share observations with the project team.
• Support the installation, upkeep, and repair of underwater components.
• Collect underwater measurements and capture photographs and video evidence for engineering review and quality assurance.
• Assist survey personnel with positioning, marking, and checking underwater construction elements.
• Prepare dive plans, complete pre-dive safety checks, and take part in risk reviews and safety briefings.
• Keep diving gear in proper working order and report defects or incidents without delay.
• Work closely with supervisors to ensure all diving work follows applicable safety rules, regulations, and project procedures.

Required Background

• A diploma along with 5 to 8 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Current commercial diving certification issued by a recognized authority, plus medical clearance for diving.
• Experience in construction, marine, or offshore diving environments.
• Strong understanding of diving safety practices, emergency response procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Good physical condition, awareness of surroundings, and the ability to operate comfortably in changing underwater conditions.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on exposure to island, coastal, or offshore construction projects.
• Familiarity with underwater inspection methods, non-destructive testing, and underwater tools/equipment.
• Ability to use underwater photography and video for documentation and reporting.
• Previous collaboration with engineers and surveyors on marine or infrastructure assignments.
